what is qrisp? We're a quality and safety approach, designed for organisations that value professionalism and understand the value of positive reflective practice. Our aim is to support the work of clinical governance and help ensure systems and processes are supporting safe practice.
Developed on the understanding that health and social service organisations are complex adaptive systems working within a larger health ecosystem, qrisp helps individuals, teams and organisations together become alert to and understand the interplay of systems that can affect us in our daily work, and our interactions with patients.

Simply, the approach encourages teams to see more clearly. Partly this is by giving everyone a voice, 'what you notice matters'. Partly this is by creating conversations that allows teams to shine light on specific situations and apply the organisation's values to distill learning for the whole, 'we are in this together'. Partly this is by creating a transparent quality process and means for updating the organisation, 'we've got your back'.

qrisp drives learning through Quality Learning Points
qrisp enables reflective practice and generates organisational learning through the creation of Quality Learning Points (QLPs). All team members can create a QLP. Managers and team leaders are given a clear process to move a QLP through the qrisp tool. The qrisp process encourages objective language, invites reflection and offers the opportunity to share insight. When creating a QLP we encourage team members to be professional, bring a lens of positivity, and have regard to privacy.

what is a Quality Learning Point?
We all care about quality. Taking the time to notice, observe and create a reflection or suggestion is part of your contribution to quality service. Each QLP is a packet of information that travels through the qrisp tool, inviting discussion and leading learning. The substance of each QLP is a simple summary of what was noticed, what happened? followed by a reflection, or suggestion for improvement. This QLP can be discussed in different forums as directed by management, encouraging focused conversations. Discussions can be minuted, and a collective recommendation is required. There may be resulting actions, the QLP may be re-tabled for further discussion, or an update can be shared.
